Terms of use
By signing in, creating a profile or posting a call you agree to these terms. Last updated 15 October 2026.
What ArtistHire is
We introduce clients and artists; we’re not an agency or party to your deal. You agree the work, price and payment directly, and you’re each responsible for your own contract, taxes and insurance. We don’t hold project money, check anyone’s work or identity, or promise that anyone will reply.
Your account
You must be 18 or older. Keep your email secure; you’re responsible for your account. Tell us if you think someone else used it.
What you post
You own what you post. You let us show and store it, and use it to promote your profile or call, until you delete it. Only post your own work, and be honest. Your public profile, including any website or social links you add, can be seen by anyone.
Not allowed
Spam, scams, harassment, hate, anything illegal, copying others’ work or details, or breaking or scraping the site. We may remove content or close accounts.
Fees
Posting a call is free; we check each one first and may remove contact details or decline it. You pay only after at least one artist has replied, and the fee is shown before you pay. No refunds once paid, unless we made a mistake or the law requires one. Artists never pay; no commission. You can pay by Interac e-Transfer or by card (Stripe).
Calls
Many calls summarise other organizations’ calls, linked to the original. We’re not connected to those organizations. Always check the original before applying; the organizer decides.
Limits
The site is provided as is. As far as the law allows, we’re not responsible for dealings between users or listed calls, and our liability is limited to fees you paid in the last 12 months.
Ending and changes
Delete your profile or ask us to close your account any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms, and may update them. We’ll show the date above and tell you about big changes.
