About ArtistHire
A Canadian place to hire artists directly. Artists keep 100% of their price.
Why we started it
Artists are often paid less than they earn: big platforms take a cut of every job, and some lock people out for talking to the clients they work with. We wanted a simpler place: clients post what they need, artists reply, and the two of them deal directly. No commission, and artists never pay.
How it works
Clients post a call once: Posting a call is free. Seeing who replied: $29. Matching artists reply with ideas and quotes, and you talk and pay each other directly. Artists never pay, and we take no commission.
Calls
We gather paid public art, mural and commission calls from across Canada, summarise them and link straight to the organiser. Organizations can also list their own calls. See calls.
Who we are
A small Canadian project, run in Canada by Canadians. The site and your data live on our own servers in Canada.
What we stand for
Human-made art. Artists get paid. No entry fees. No exposure gigs. Nobody gets locked out for talking to the people they work with.
