How much does a pet portrait cost in Canada?
A small digital drawing of your cat can start near $40, while a large oil of two dogs can pass $1,000. The medium and the number of pets matter most.
Pick a medium, then a size
| Medium | One pet |
|---|---|
| Digital | $40 to $250 |
| Pencil or charcoal | $100 to $450 |
| Watercolour | $120 to $600 |
| Oil or acrylic | $250 to $1,500 |
A second pet usually adds half to three quarters of the base price. A $200 portrait of one dog might come to $300 to $350 for two.

Giving it as a gift?
Order three to four weeks ahead for painted work. Ask whether the price includes a frame, shipping and a round of changes, and say if the pet has passed so the artist can be extra gentle.
